OUR PHILOSOPHY AND AIMS

Our school is a place of learning. It sheds light on vital ideas and events and enables our students to understand their nature and their human environment.

The philosophy underpinning Arise Community School is Equal Opportunity and Gender Equality. We believe that the school should be open to any child in the local community. All children should have the opportunity to attend, irrespective of their circumstances or ability to pay and irrespective of their religion or none, their faith, tribe or ethnicity. 

Also, as in many developing countries where money is in short supply, in Tanzania girls often miss out on education in favour of their brothers. At Arise, girls have equal access and support is in place to try to ensure that they do not drop out of school because of caring responsibilities or for other reasons.

How is the school making this possible?
In order to make this possible, our partner organization ACE Charity-Uk operated a small Sponsorship Scheme from the outset. The scheme has been critical in realising the Arise philosophy.

The school also engages itself in varieties of initiatives such as farming, animal keeping, and other small sized projects in order to support those students who are in needed and couldn't get education elsewhere. 
 
Whats Next!
With that in mind, we will commit ourselves to providing a continuous course of high-quality all-round education to children of a wide range of abilities and cultural backgrounds in the Wiri Community, from Preschool level up to Secondary school entrance, embracing a wide range of extra-curricular activities as well as an academic curriculum based on courses followed in the Tanzania curriculum. Our aim is to provide the very best for every child within a caring environment where everyone is loved, happy, safe and secure.
